About

Okay this is where you find out who I am, what I am trying to do, who my audience is, why I chose to open up my life and what I am going to do about all the above.

I am a 69 year old senior white female (if you couldn’t tell that by the title). I have been through life’s ups and down, over and over again. I have two wonderful adult kids with families of their own which include five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

I must mention my two youngest great-granddaughters here, because their short journey so far in life is what motivated me to start a blog. When you think about it – will they know me? I am not being morbid, just real. These two girls have Dravet Syndrome. The rarest and worse type of epilepsy that exists. As rare as it is, it is much more rare that siblings would have it and they do. It is caused by a genetic mutation, there is no cure (yet) and treatment is still not perfected. By that I mean they are little human guinea pigs, in my humble opinion. “Let’s try this and if it doesn’t work or quits working will try something else”, doctor speak for I don’t know what the hell to do. Myself and my family are huge advocates for Dravet research! So get used to seeing💜💜 from me as this is a representation of Dravet and also I use two for both great-granddaughters. It is a little known or talked about syndrome, so if you can, do your research, kick some money to the Dravet Foundation and pray big for my girls, Nova and Denver.

Now that I have talked about that I will get down and dirty about money, lies we grew up with, death, rape, money some more, sex, marriage, love and much, much more. So I ask that you read, like and subscribe on the off chance you learn something from me so you don’t end up where I am at 69.

My not yet famous quote about my blog is “Hard life lessons from a simple mind”. Anyone can learn from what I have to say and I try to keep it upbeat, funny and truthful.
